Academy Alumni 

Hailey Stockbrugger

began dancing at the age of 2 in Bakersfield, California. At the age of 7, Stockbrugger furthered her training with Dance Dynamics in Southern California, where she was trained by Tyson Garner. Stockbrugger moved to New York City in January of 2016 where she participated in Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester. Stockbrugger has performed works by Matthew Powell, Derek Mitchell, and Phil Orsano, she is also a member of The Orsano Project. Most recently, Stockbrugger performed at Madison Square Garden with Phish for their iconic New Year's Eve event. 

 

Ellen Mihalick

grew up in NJ dancing with Nancy Turano at the NJ Dance Theater Ensemble and at NJ Ballet (Carolyn Clark). Other training includes the Pre Movement Invention Project (Alexandra Wells) and Vancouver Art's Umbrella/Ballet BC SDI (Emily Molnar). Ellen is a Rockette at Radio City and dances with Exit 12 Dance Company (Roman Baca). She has performed repertoire choreographed by Dwight Rhoden, Sidra Bell, Kate Skarpetowska, Belinda McGuire, Cherice Barton, and more at venues such as the Joyce, Sadler's Well's Theater (London), and the Marriot Marquis NYC. Ellen has danced in 4 CCB summer/winter intensives and is so excited to be a part of the first Pre Pro Program! 

 

Mikal Gilbert 

began dancing at the age of 18 while studying music performance at the Visual and Performing Arts Academy of Salem High School. He then went on to attend the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, majoring in Saxophone performance. It was there that his passion for dance grew. He later began pursuing his formal dance training under the guidance of former Alvin Ailey principal dancer, Elbert Watson, and Patricia Sorrel focusing on Ballet, and Modern dance. Mr. Gilbert recently attended the 2016 Alvin Ailey summer Intensive where he performed original work by choreographer, Tang Dao. He is currently attending Marymount Manhattan College working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Modern dance. 

 

Keanna-Angelique Faulkner

Keanna-Angelique Faulkner was born and raised in Queens, New York. She began her dance training at the age of 7 at the Precise Dance Studio in Sunnyside, Queens under the tutelage of Tina Williams.
She is a 2014 graduate of Talent Unlimited High School, NYC, where she studied ballet with Wilhelmina Frankfurt, modern dance with Victorianne Capiello, and interned at the Martha Graham School. She has studied with Manhattan Youth Ballet, and the Dance Theater of Harlem. 

She is currently a work-study student at Steps on Broadway.

 

Finola Xie 

20 years old. Born in Sydney, Australia. Started classical training at Rogersons Dance Studios at 6 years old. She has attended schools including The Australian Ballet School, Shanghai Dance Academy (China), Balletschule Theatre Basel (Switzerland) and the Joffrey Ballet School (USA). 

Kateryna Honcharova 

Kateryna Honcharova is originally from Kiev, Ukraine. BFA graduate of Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, classical dance department. Attended the Ailey school summer intensive and Complexions contemporary ballet summer intensive in New York. Currently- a student of the Ailey school.

 

Victoria Santaguida 

Victoria Santaguida is 21 years old from Toronto, Canada. She started dancing at age 3 at Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance. She has attended summer programs at the National Ballet of Canada, Juilliard, and The Joffrey Ballet School. She went on to further her training in New York City and was a member of The Joffrey Ballet Concert Group for three seasons. She has performed works by George Balanchine, Gerald Arpino, Robert Battle, Dwight Rhoden, Africa Guzman, Roger C. Jeffrey, Gabrielle Lamb and more. She is currently a trainee with Complexions Contemporary Ballet.

 

Alexandra Lammon

Alexandra Lammon began her training in Anchorage, Alaska, at the Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy under the direction of Farah Zoetmulder and Michelangelo Canale. She performed numerous works with the Anchorage Ballet and also toured to Kenai, AK and Moncton, N.B. Canada. She then continued her training on Sarasota, FL at Sarasota Ballet's Margaret Barbieri Conservatory of Dance where she danced works set by Pavel Fomin and choreographer Ricardo Graziano. Currently, Ms. Lammon is a Trainee with the Richmond Ballet in Richmond, VA. She has performed in works with the Company like "Windows" and the Nutcracker, by Artistic Director Stoner Winslett, as well as Malcolm Burn's "Romeo and Juliet" and "Kingdom of the Shades" from "La Bayadére". Ms. Lammon has also made her television debut on AMC hit television series "Turn: Washington's Spies", as a colonial dancer. This is Ms. Lammon's first time dancing with Complexions and is incredibly grateful for this opportunity!

 

Stacey Hazen

Stacey Hazen is a junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she is pursuing a BFA in Dance. She has received training from several renowned dance instructors including Mignon Furman, Michael Owen, and Denise Lewis. Stacey has studied various styles of ballet, including RAD and Vaganova. In addition to ballet, Stacey has received extensive instruction in areas of modern, jazz, contemporary and tap and has recently commenced training in ballroom dance. Stacey has participated in numerous performances while attending the University of Massachusetts and in 2015 starred in a music video to promote awareness of drug abuse, titled Weapons by Jesse Hanson.

 

Camryn Tomaszewski 

Camryn is 14 years old and trains at Fusion Dance Force in Holbrook NY. Camryn enjoys traveling and assisting Kyle and Amanda at workshops and choreographing. She holds several national competition titles and has participated in The Pulse Invitational Intensive as well as Artist Simply Human. Camryn is grateful for Complexions Pre Professional Program, to study her two favorite genres ballet and contemporary, under such dance icons as Desmond Richardson and Dwight Rhoden. 

 

Candy Tong

Candy Tong was born in San Francisco, California, where she started her training at the San Francisco Ballet School under full scholarship. She recently graduated from the English National Ballet School (London, England) where she also received a diploma in Dance from the Trinity College. Candy has studied with the Pacific Northwest Ballet School (Seattle, Washington) in the Professional Division as well as train under the direction of Drew Jacoby and Muriel Maffre in addition. At age 13, Candy was asked to dance with San Francisco Ballet's company in major productions such as The Nutcracker, the Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote where she danced the roles as Clara, Cupid, and Garland Girls. While with the English National Ballet School, Candy had the opportunity to work with the company and tour around England for the production, Le Corsaire. There she worked with world-renowned choreographers such as Wayne Mcgregor, William Forsythe, and Kerri Nichols. Prior to joining ENB, Candy won the title of Miss Dance of California in 2013. She too placed 3rd at the Youth America Grand Prix and at the American Ballet Competition. Candy will graduate from the University of California, Irvine over a year and a half early this coming March with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance.

 

Tori Hey

Tori Hey was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and raised in Chester, New Jersey. Tori began her dance training at age three in a variety of styles but gravitated towards classical ballet as she grew older. She began training at Ballet Forte, under the direction of Andrea Kramer, in 2008, where she performed the role of the Arabian Soloist in the Nutcracker and performed the final pas de deux from Paquita with her partner Junio Teixeira. In high school, Tori was a member of Nancy Turano's New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, and in her senior year of high school, she trained at the French Academie of Ballet under the direction of Francois Perron. Tori also trained privately with Alexandra Wells, Francesca Harper, Linda Kent, and Talin Kenar. Tori has performed works by choreographers such as Nicholas Villeneuve, Adam Barruch, Maurya Kerr, Milton Meyers, Paul Taylor, Dorrell Martin, Bradley Shelver, and Iyun Harrison, and she has spent the summer training at programs such as the LINES Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive, and the Complexions Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensive. Tori is currently a student in the Ailey/Fordham BFA program where she is a recipient of the Agnes Varis Scholarship and the Ailey Artistic Scholarship. She also dances for Arch Contemporary Ballet under the direction of Sheena Annalise.

 

Elizabeth Lee

Elizabeth Lee was classically trained with Palos Verdes Ballet in Southern California, where she eventually performed principal and title roles in Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Chopiniana, and The Firebird. During that time she attended summer programs with the School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and Joffrey Chicago. She has also participated in the Youth American Grand Prix where she placed top 12 regionally in both the classical and contemporary categories in 2007 and 2009. Elizabeth graduated from Scripps College in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. There she continued her classical ballet and modern dance training under the direction of Victoria Koenig and Kevin Williamson and performed in various productions, including "In the Works," "Fast Forward," and the Scripps and Pomona dance concerts. Since moving to New York, she has performed with VISIONS Contemporary Ballet.

Dieke De Gendt

Belgian, 17 years old. I started my ballet training at the age of 5 at Balletschool Marijke Clijsters (Royal Academy of Dance) and successfully passed all the exams with distinction up to the level of Advanced 2. From the age of 13, I started doing numerous summer intensives including English National Ballet, Elmhurst School for Dance, Eastman, etc. I also did a lot of masterclasses at NDT and from Professional dancers/teachers. I also participated in several competitions. After this extensive training, I realized I wanted to become a dancer. I auditioned for the Art School for Contemporary Dance in Antwerp where I am now in my junior year. In addition, I’m also taking classes at dance studio Arabesque in Antwerp given by (ex)dancers from the Royal Ballet of Flanders.

Eileen Durma

Eileen Durma is from New Jersey where she began training at a local studio at age 5. She attended Somerset County Technical High School where she was part of the Honors Dance department. She received additional training at the New Jersey School of Ballet where she performed various corps de ballet roles with the New Jersey Ballet as a member of the Junior Company. She recently graduated cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan where she earned her BFA in Ballet. While at Marymount she performed works by Paul Taylor, Pedro Ruiz, Jae Man Joo and Alberto Del Saz to name a few.

Kaylin Thiske

Kaylin is originally from Byfield, Massachusetts but had relocated the summer of 2013 to North Carolina to attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts High School (UNCSA) in Winston-Salem, NC. I am currently in my senior year as a contemporary major. My freshman year I had majored in ballet, but then switched to Contemporary my Junior year.  Kaylin started learning how to dance at the age of three, while following in the footsteps of my older sister. I learned the basics of Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, and Ballet, and the more I danced the more I fell in love with it. I had also gotten the chance to attend dance conventions/competitions but at the age of ten, my parents enrolled me into Boston Ballet School for a more serious level of training. I trained at Boston Ballet for three years before moving to Arizona. While in Arizona I trained at Ballet Etudes in Gilbert, still focusing on my Ballet and Contemporary technique. After completing Middle School, I auditioned for UNCSA and was accepted into their freshman class. Upon graduation from UNCSA in May of 2017, I will attend Connecticut College in the fall. My course of study includes majoring in both Dance and either Biology or Neuroscience.

 

Nicolle Matheu

Nicolle Matheu, from Guatemala, is becoming a young successful Performing Artist with international exposure. 

Upon graduating from The Urdang Academy London in June 2016 with a 1st class degree, BA (Honours) in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, Nicolle signed with BBA Management, a highly recognized performing artists agency.  This has lead to her successful appearances in TV commercials, Film productions, Music Videos, Dance and Musical Theatre Performances. Since then one of her most outstanding works with U.K national exposure is the Happy Egg Company TV Commercial Campaign.  Furthermore, Nicolle landed a leading role in the ITV series Autopsy: The Last Hours of Anissa Jones playing Carla Machado. 

Nicolle has also taken part as a choreographer and performer for the English artist, Luke Quinn, in his upcoming War music video. In the past four years, she has participated in the internationally acclaimed Performing Arts Team of Hillsong Church London. Participating in numerous productions such as Colour Conference and Carols at Wembley Arena, Hillsong Conference at the O2 Arena, and Jesus The Rock Opera and Easter Productions at Dominion Theatre. Since then Nicolle has become a leader and choreographer for the Hillsong’s Performing Arts Team, which is televised internationally. 

 

Sierra French

Sierra French is from San Diego, California where she began her dance training at the Performing Arts Workshop. She went on to train with Ballet West, LINES Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York. In New York she danced with the Joffrey Concert Group, performing works by Balanchine, Robert Battle, Gerald Arpino, Dwight Rhoden, Gabrielle Lamb, Andrea Schermoly and Africa Guzman. She is currently a trainee with Complexions and working towards her degree with the Saint Mary's LEAP Program.

Hannah Grace Hayward

Hannah Grace Hayward is delighted to be making her debut with Complexions Contemporary Ballet. Hannah is from Knoxville, TN, and travels all over the US to study, train, and perform. Hannah is a CLI Studios Ambassador, a former ASH Assistant, a YAGP regional winner, and a top 10 winner at The Dance Awards. She is a dancewear model and athlete for Sugar & Bruno, Weissmans, Ktma, and Ilogear. Hannah made her screen premiere in “Hi Hello” the film. She has trained at Joffrey Ballet School, with Complexions Ballet, and at Knox Dance Workx. More at hannahhayward.com. Hannah would like to thank her family for their support and love.
