Monica Montaño

Ms. Montano started her dance training in ballet, contemporary and jazz in Mexico City. She is a certified Simonson Teacher fromDance Space Center in NYC, completed her BA as a Contemporary Dance Educator at the National School of Dance (Mexico,) and is currently finishing her Masters in Arts Management and Cultural Policies. She has worked for the National Dance Company of Mexico; as dance consultant for the National Center for the Arts in Mexico; as Program Coordinator for Mexico City Ballet; tour manager in Mexico with the Limón Dance Company and Dance Now! Miami.; and for over a decade, as International Director of the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Ms. Montano, also co-directs Scouting Dance, a project that helps young Mexican dancers access international educational opportunities.
Ms. Montano joined Complexions Academy in 2021, first as Academy Manager and now as Director of Education, contributing to the overall growth of the Academy's programs.
